2019 College Success Rate Leaders

College play-by-play before 2025 does not record where passes went, so depth, direction, ACE and throw maps start in 2025. Counting stats are the official NCAA season lines.

The share of dropbacks with positive EPA, meaning the play left the offense better off than before it. We use the same rule in both leagues so the numbers compare.

How to read it. Around 45% is average for a starter; 50% is excellent.

The 2019 leaders: Joe Burrow (61.3%), Jalen Hurts (57.5%), Kedon Slovis (57.1%).

Success Rate

Minimum to rank: 15 pass attempts per team game (the NCAA's minimum for passing efficiency). 109 players.
